Officials probe flood’s effects on health & the environment

After Delaware River flood waters began to recede officials are still investigating how Bucks County’s latest flood will affect the health of residents who live along its banks.

County figures suggest the recent flood caused major damage to 250 Bucks County homes and nearly 50 businesses. The flood also may have contaminated drinking water supplies and bolstered the county’s mosquito population.
