What We’re Doing

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice, that means we work toward:

• Clear, readable text with strong color contrast
• Descriptive alt text on images so screen readers can describe them
• Keyboard-friendly navigation that doesn’t require a mouse
• Headings and structure that make pages easy to scan and navigate
• Interactive features, like our calendar and weather tools, that degrade gracefully if a feed is unavailable

Ongoing Work

Accessibility isn’t a one-time fix. As we add new pages and features, we review them for usability and correct issues as we find them. Some older posts or embedded third-party content may not yet meet every standard, and we’re improving those over time.
