If you only pick one stop this weekend, make it Peddler’s Village. The Lahaska fall festival with German food, beer and a village full of scarecrows is the clear headliner, and Bolton Mansion has fall-season history programming in Lower Bucks. Late-week listings were a little thin, so I also tucked in a couple backup guides worth keeping open on your phone.
All Weekend

Peddler’s Village Fall Festival. In Lahaska, PhillyVoice reported that the village’s fall festival is pairing German food and beer with more than 150 scarecrows. The feed text does not include exact Oct. 2-4 hours, ticket info or parking details, so check the village site before you go. If you are headed that way, our New Hope coverage is nearby reading.
Scarecrows at Peddler’s Village. Even if you skip the food, the scarecrow display alone sounds like a decent excuse for a drive. PhillyVoice said there are more than 150 scarecrows around the village this fall. No separate price was listed in the feed item.
Bolton Mansion fall programs. In Levittown, Metro Philadelphia highlighted fall fun mixed with local history at the mansion. The feed text does not spell out this weekend’s schedule or admission, so check the mansion site before heading over. More Lower Bucks news lives on our Levittown page.
Pumpkin-season farm stops. BUCKSCO.Today posted a roundup of four Bucks County farms to visit for pumpkin season. The feed snippet does not name the farms, which is annoying, but the guide is still useful if you want a last-minute hayride, pumpkin patch or corn-maze kind of afternoon.
Rain plan if the weather turns. Patch has a rainy-weekend guide focused on Bucks County. Not glamorous. Still handy when the forecast starts acting like October.
Saturday

25th anniversary at a Bucks County pet store. Patch reported that a popular Bucks County pet store is celebrating its 25th year on Saturday. The Google News feed does not show the store name, town, time or whether there are deals or demos, so click through before you burn gas on a mystery errand.
One more weekend roundup to check. BUCKSCO.Today also posted a five-event weekend list. The feed snippet does not break those out one by one, but it is another place to look if your Saturday plans are still half-baked.
