New Hope has the busiest draw this weekend, with Rock of Ages still onstage at Bucks County Playhouse and Halloween movie traffic spilling over the bridge into Lambertville. On Sunday, Bensalem gets the oddball wildcard with a punk rock Halloween flea market. This week’s list is shorter than a normal late-October roundup. Better that than recycling stuff that already ended.

All Weekend

Rock of Ages at Bucks County Playhouse. According to a 6abc report, the current run of Rock of Ages at Bucks County Playhouse is still going in New Hope this weekend. If you want a sit-down night with actual tickets instead of wandering around until dinner happens, this is the cleanest pick on the board. Showtimes and ticket prices were not in the feed text we got, so check the Playhouse schedule before you drive up.

Lambertville Halloween Film Festival. A Bucks County Herald report says the Lambertville Halloween Film Festival kicks off this week just over the bridge from New Hope. That puts horror movies, Halloween crowds and a very easy night out within a few minutes of Bucks. The feed did not include the full Friday-through-Sunday lineup, so use the Herald report and the Acme Screening Room site to pin down exact screenings.

Bucks County Punk Rock Halloween Flea Market. According to a Bucks County Beacon report, this flea market is set for Sunday in Bensalem. The headline alone tells you the mood. If your idea of a good afternoon is vintage shirts, records, handmade oddities and at least one purchase you cannot really justify, this is probably your stop. The feed did not include hours, admission or venue details, so check the Beacon item and the Bensalem Township site before heading out.
